Traditionally given as a gift for brides to wear on their wedding day, this Ni'ihau Shell Lei will make a meaningful addition to any collection!
This piece features ten strands of Laiki (rice shells) strung together in the Pololei (stacked end-to-end) style. The shells have a warm Lenalena (white/off-white) coloration and are connected by a Pōlehole Apu'upu'u (bumpy cowry shell) that measures approximately 22mm long by 17mm wide.
The lei measures about 60 inches long, creating a 30 inch 'drop-length' when worn.
