The pendant contains (1) off-round fine Spanish pirate cob silver 8 reals coin. Measuring approx. 35.16 x 30.16mm. The coin looks to be minted in Spain in the 17th century.
One side depicts four quadrants with castles diagonal and lions diagonal.
The reverse has shield with Flag and other symbols hard to define due to wear on the coin’s surface.
The coin is mounted in four prongs in a flat bezel of 18K yellow gold that follows the outline of the piece of 8 coin’s perimeter.
Dimensions: approx. 41.41 x 37.67mm.
A heavy two-tone 18K anchor link chain is attached,
Width: approx. 3.60mm. Length: including the pendant is approx. 26″ inches. The clasp is a lobster claw style.
Weight: approx. 50.19 grams.
The gold work has a polished finish.
