Strung in the Kipona style, this piece features a variety of shells and stringing techniques.
The shells are a mix of Momi (dove shells) with Ke’oke’o (white/off-white), Lenalena (yellow), and Onikiniki (white with dark brown stripes) colorations as well as Kahelelani (turban shells) in the colors of Akala Pua (pale flower pink), Oma’oma’o (green/tan), Ele Ele (black/dark brown), Maku’e (burgundy), and Kamoa (yellow).
This lei measures approximately 38 inches (creating a 19 inch ‘drop length’ when worn).
