Expertly crafted on the island of Ni'ihau Hawaii, this Ni'ihau Shell Lei is truly a work of art.

Each of the nine strands is strung in the Maunaloa style, where each shell is nestled seamlessly within the next.
All shells are of the Kamoa (yellow tips from Dove Shells) and Kahelelani (turban shell) varieties. The Kahelelani shells come in the colors of Akala (bright pink), Akala Pua (pale pink), Oma'oma'o (green/tan),and Ula Ula (red).
The ends of each strand are connected together by a 24mmX16mm Pōleholeho (decorative shell used to conceal string ends) of the Malina Onikiniki (spotted smooth cowrie) variety.
This lei measures approximately 35 inches in length, creating a 17.5 inch 'drop length' when worn.
