NI'IHAU SHELL LEI 10 STRAND POLOLEI WEDDING LEI MOMI KE'OKE'O POLEHOLEHO APU'UPU'U 36 INCH WITH EARRINGS (2741-01)
Expertly crafted on the island of Ni'ihau Hawaii, this lei is truly a work of art.
Lei:
This piece has ten strands of Momi (dove shells) strung together in the Pololei (stacked end-to-end) style. The shells are of the Ke'oke'o (pure white) coloration and are connected by a Pōlehole Apu'upu'u (bumpy cowrie shell) that measures approximately 25mm long by 15mm wide.
The lei measures about 36 inches long, creating a 18 inch 'drop-length' when worn.
Earrings:
These earrings feature a single strand each of Momi shells with well matched color, though some shells are of the Kahakaha (white with golden stripes) coloration.
Each strand is attached to clip-on backings, making them suitable for use in pierced or non-pierced ears.
The earrings measure approximately 1.5 inches in length.
Kindly note, there is minor corrosion on some metal components of the earrings. Please review product photos for greater details.
